savina-floral-stoneware-cup-saucer-219ml-set-of-4-multi
Savina Floral Stoneware Cup & Saucer 219ml Set of 4 - Multi

Description

This is a set of four stoneware cups, each with its own saucer, handpainted with a floral pattern of leafy sprigs and small flowers. The cup has a wide, open bowl that flares gently up to a painted rim, a neat looped handle and a fine scatter of speckles across the surface, while the saucer has a softly faceted edge rather than a plain circle. At 219ml, each cup is a true tea cup or a cup for a milky coffee: more generous than an espresso cup, yet smaller than a mug. The measurements given are 15cm across and 7.5cm tall.

Four cups and saucers make this an easy choice for a small household, or for laying the table when friends come round for tea. The pattern of leaves and flowers brings a garden feel to the breakfast table even in winter, yet it sits comfortably beside plain plates and a simple teapot. It suits a slow weekend morning, an afternoon tea with cake, or a kitchen dresser where the cups can rest on their saucers between uses. For someone who prefers their tea in a cup and saucer rather than a mug, it makes a thoughtful housewarming or birthday present.

The set is made of 100% stoneware, a dense ceramic that holds heat well and feels reassuringly solid. The floral pattern is handpainted, which gives each sprig a loose, brushy quality that a printed pattern does not have. Care is simple: the cups and saucers go in the dishwasher, in the microwave for warming a drink and in the oven too. For styling, lay the cups and saucers out on a plain linen cloth and let the pattern carry the table, or stack the saucers on an open shelf with the cups beside them.

Specification

Height

7.5cm

Diameter

15cm

Sold as

Set of 4

Material

100% Stoneware

Colour

Multi

Finish

Handpainted

Capacity

219ml

Dishwasher safe

Yes

Microwave safe

Yes

Oven safe

Yes

Food safe

Yes

Weight

1.8KG

Frequently Asked

What are the cups and saucers made of?

Each cup and saucer is made of 100% stoneware, and the floral pattern of leaves and small flowers is painted by hand.

How much does each cup hold?

Each cup holds 219ml, which makes it a tea cup or a cup for a milky coffee rather than a mug.

Can the cups and saucers go in the dishwasher?

Yes.
