savant-decorative-tray-nickel
Savant Decorative Tray - Nickel

Description

The Savant is a slim rectangular decorative tray in aluminium with a nickel finish, measuring 28.5cm long, 12.5cm wide and 2.5cm high. A low raised rim runs right around the edge, and a cut-out handle at each end gives your fingers a firm, comfortable grip whenever you lift it. The nickel finish has a gently textured surface that catches the light in small flecks, so the tray reads as a crafted object rather than a flat sheet of metal. Aluminium is a light metal, and at 0.45KG this tray is easy to pick up and move around the house.

We see it working hardest on a sideboard, a console table or a dressing table, where it gathers the small things that otherwise end up scattered across a room: keys, jewellery, perfume bottles, reading glasses or a little vase. At 12.5cm wide it is narrow enough for a mantelpiece, a deep windowsill or a bookshelf, places where a larger tray simply would not fit. It suits anyone who likes a tidy surface without the look of storage, and anyone after a touch of soft metallic shine in a living room, hallway or bedroom. Because it is a decorative piece for indoor use, it is happiest on a dry shelf or table inside your home.

Each tray is handmade, and every piece is unique, so expect small differences in the texture and tone of the finish from tray to tray; we see that as part of its character. The tray is not for food use, so keep it for display and everyday odds and ends rather than serving snacks or bread. It is not dishwasher-proof either: wipe it by hand with a soft, dry cloth to lift dust and fingerprints. Before you order, measure the shelf or sill you have in mind, as its length of 28.5cm decides where it will sit.

Specification

Colour

Nickel

Material

Aluminium

Details

Handmade: every piece is unique

Length

28.5cm

Width

12.5cm

Height

2.5cm

Weight

0.45KG

Use

Not for food use; Not dishwasher-proof

Frequently Asked

What material is the Savant tray?

It is aluminium with a nickel finish, and the metal keeps it light at 0.45KG, so it is easy to lift by its cut-out handles.

Can I serve food on the Savant tray?

No. The tray is not for food use, so we suggest keeping it for keys, jewellery, perfume bottles and other decorative pieces.

Can the tray go in the dishwasher?

No, it is not dishwasher-proof.
