sasaram-napkins-set-of-20
Sasaram Napkins Set of 20

Description

Our Sasaram Napkins Set of 20 brings a soft watercolour print to the table: a young rabbit sitting among wildflowers, with red and pink blooms, pale blue petals and tall seed heads against a white ground. These are paper napkins in three ply, which means three layers of paper in each one rather than a single thin sheet. Each napkin measures 16.5cm long and 16.5cm wide, a neat square that sits comfortably beside a side plate or a cup and saucer, and the set of 20 comes to 1.7cm high and weighs 0.11KG.

We would set them out on the dining table for an Easter lunch, a birthday tea or a christening, or keep a few by the teapot for afternoon tea with friends. The rabbit and the meadow flowers suit a family table with children around it just as well as a quiet cup of coffee for one, and the multicoloured print sits happily with pastel crockery, green table linen or a jug of fresh flowers. With twenty in the set, there are enough for a good gathering with spares left for the next morning.

The print covers most of the face of each napkin, and a fine embossed dot pattern runs around the edges, giving the paper a little texture under the fingers. Paper cannot go in the wash, so these are for single use: take one, use it and clear it away with the plates, with nothing to launder afterwards. Keep the set flat and dry in a drawer or a cupboard until the day itself, so the corners stay crisp. For a fuller look on the table, fan a few across a side plate so the rabbit shows on the top napkin.

Specification

Colour

Multicoloured

Material

Paper

Details

20 napkins, 3 ply

Length

16.5cm

Width

16.5cm

Height

1.7cm

Weight

0.11KG

Frequently Asked

How big is each napkin?

Each napkin is a square 16.5cm long and 16.5cm wide, a size that sits neatly beside a side plate or a cup and saucer.

How many napkins come in the set?

The set holds 20 paper napkins, enough for a family lunch or a birthday tea with spares left for another day.

What does three ply mean for these napkins?

Three ply means each napkin has three layers of paper rather than one, so it feels fuller in the hand than a single thin sheet.

What does the print show?

A watercolour rabbit sits among wildflowers, with red and pink blooms, pale blue petals and tall seed heads on a white ground.

Can the napkins be washed and used again?

No, these are paper napkins, and paper cannot go in the wash, so each one is meant for a single use and then cleared away.

What occasions suit these rabbit napkins?

We would set them out for an Easter lunch, a christening, a birthday tea or afternoon tea at the dining table with friends.
