samson-bow-faux-fur-draught-excluder-natural
Samson Bow Faux Fur Draught Excluder - Natural

Description

Samson is a draught excluder shaped like a long, lolloping dog, made from soft faux fur in a natural beige with a slightly darker brown across the ears, the muzzle and the tip of the tail. A small white bow tie sits at the neck, just below the head, and the whole body stretches out flat to lie snug along the base of a door. It measures 88cm long by 10cm wide, so it spans the width of a standard interior door with a little to spare and stays low enough to sit unobtrusively on the floor.

This is a piece for the foot of any door where cold air creeps in: the front door, a hallway, a draughty bedroom or the gap under a living room door in winter. Because it is a novelty shape rather than a plain tube, it reads as an ornament as much as a functional item, and it suits a room that leans playful or a child's bedroom where a friendly dog by the door is part of the appeal. Set it against a hard floor or a low skirting board and it works equally well; the flat underside keeps it steady rather than rolling.

The outer is faux fur and the filling is a poly fibre, which gives it enough weight to stay put once you lay it down and enough give to press against an uneven gap. Polyester faux fur is hard-wearing and holds its pile well, and the neutral tone means it will not clash with paint or flooring. It is a single self-contained unit with no cover to remove. If your household already leans towards these soft novelty pieces, Samson is an easy one to add by a door that needs it.

Specification

Material

Outer: 100% polyester faux fur, Filling: 100% polyester

Design

Dog-shaped novelty draught excluder with bow tie detail

Construction

Self-contained filled unit, flat underside

Size

88 x 10cm

Sold as

Single

Frequently Asked

How long is this draught excluder and will it fit my door?

It is 88cm long, which spans the width of a standard interior door with a little room to spare, so it suits most internal doorways.

What is it made from?

The outer is 100% polyester faux fur and the filling is 100% polyester fibre, giving it a soft pile and enough weight to stay in place.

Does it stand up on its own or lie flat?

It lies flat along the floor against the base of a door, with a flat underside that keeps it steady rather than rolling out of position.

Is the bow tie fixed or removable?

The white bow tie is a sewn detail at the neck, part of the dog shape rather than a separate accessory you take on and off.

Can I use it in a child's room?

Its friendly dog shape and soft faux fur make it well suited to a child's bedroom door, as well as any draughty room in the house.

Product care

The supplier does not state care instructions for this item.

//cdn.shopify.com/s/files/1/0729/8993/3835/files/riva-samson_dra_nat-1-srcbase_03f004b2-5dee-4afe-90c0-e54e7d25b0fa.jpg?v=1787197117
