salmenne-led-flush-ceiling-light-51cm-white-gold
Salmenne LED Flush Ceiling Light 51cm - White & Gold

Description

The Salmenne is a round LED flush ceiling light, 51cm in diameter and only 7cm high, so it sits snugly against the ceiling where a pendant would hang too low. A white steel body holds a white plastic diffuser marked with fine gold lines that fan out from the centre to the rim, with tiny flecks scattered between them. The light comes from integrated LEDs: seven lights of 4.4W each, every one giving 530lm, in a warm white of 3000K. It is rated IP20, which settles where it goes: indoors, in a dry room.

We see it in living rooms, bedrooms, hallways and dining rooms, anywhere you want even, general light from a single ceiling fitting. At 51cm across it has enough presence to anchor a dining table or the middle of a lounge, yet its slim profile keeps a lower ceiling feeling open. The gold lines give the diffuser a decorative pattern by day, and once the LEDs are lit the whole disc glows softly with the pattern still faintly visible. A warm 3000K is a comfortable, homely tone for evenings, kinder than a cool white in rooms where you relax. Because it is rated IP20, keep it away from bathrooms and other damp spaces.

There is no switch or dimmer on the light itself. It is switched at the wall and is not dimmable, so it belongs on an ordinary wall switch rather than a dimmer switch. With integrated LEDs, there are no bulbs to buy or change. It runs on 220-240V, 50/60Hz mains and carries an energy class of E. As a wired-in mains light, it should be installed by a qualified electrician, and the installation instructions come as a download. Packed, it weighs 1.615KG, so the parcel is easy to handle.

Specification

Height

7cm

Diameter

51cm

Body Material

Steel

Body Colour

White

Shade Material

Plastic

Shade Colour

White, gold

Light Source

LED, integrated

Wattage

7 x 4.4W

Lumens

530lm per light (7 lights)

Colour Temperature

3000K

Dimmable

No

Switch

None (switched at the wall)

IP Rating

IP20

Protection Class

Class I

Voltage

220-240V, 50/60Hz

Energy Class

E

Weight (packed)

1.615KG

Downloads

Installation Instructions (PDF)

Frequently Asked

Can I fit this ceiling light in a bathroom?

No. It is rated IP20, which means it is meant for dry indoor rooms only, so keep it out of bathrooms and other damp spaces.

Is the Salmenne dimmable?

No, it is not dimmable.
