saceda-linear-pendant-light-black-gold
Saceda Linear Pendant Light - Black & Gold

Description

The Saceda is a linear pendant light with five hat-shaped shades hung from a single black ceiling bar. The body is steel in black and gold: each shade has a black top surface and a gold leaf lining on the underside, and its wavy brim tilts at a gentle angle. The shades hang at staggered heights, which gives the row a relaxed rhythm. It is 125cm long, 29cm wide and 150cm in overall height. It takes five E27 bulbs of up to 40W each, and the bulbs are not included. With an IP20 rating, it belongs indoors in dry rooms.

A long bar like this one is made for a long surface. Hung over a dining table, it spreads five points of light along its whole length rather than pooling everything in the middle, so everyone at the table gets a share. It works just as well over a sideboard in an open-plan living space, or in a hallway with a good ceiling height. When lit, the gold linings catch the light and glow warmly, while the black tops keep the bar crisp against a pale ceiling. If you like modern lighting that never feels cold, this is a good match.

There is no switch on the light itself: it is switched at the wall, so you control it from an ordinary wall switch. Because it is a wired mains light, a qualified electrician should install it, and the installation instructions come as a download. Steel is strong and rigid, which suits a bar carrying five shades. It weighs 8KG packed, so a second pair of hands makes unboxing easier. Choose E27 bulbs of no more than 40W each; a warm bulb sits beautifully against the gold leaf and brings the linings to life.

Specification

Length

125cm

Width

29cm

Overall Height

150cm

Body Material

Steel

Body Colour

Black, gold

Light Source

E27 (bulb not included)

Wattage

Max 5 x 40W

Switch

None (switched at the wall)

IP Rating

IP20

Protection Class

Class I

Voltage

220-240V, 50/60Hz

Weight (packed)

8KG

Downloads

Installation Instructions (PDF)

Frequently Asked

What bulbs does the Saceda pendant take?

It takes five E27 bulbs, each up to a maximum of 40W.
