The wax is left rough rather than smoothed: there are shallow pits down the sides and a pale bloom drawn across them, and the top is domed rather than flat, with a single white wick set in the middle.\u003c\/p\u003e\u003cp\u003eAt 15cm tall and 8cm across it is made for the larger candle holders, the ones with a wide dish rather than a socket. A sideboard, a mantelpiece or the middle of a laid table all take it at this height.\u003c\/p\u003e\u003cp\u003eThe wax is a soy blend, poured by hand into moulds in small batches in India, and the rough surface comes out of the pour rather than being worked in afterwards. The Rustic range runs to a large pillar at 18 by 10cm and a mini at 8 by 7cm, and the same rust tone is made as a pair of dinner candles.
