The surface is heavily worked: the wax has pitted and streaked as it set, leaving pale drags and hollows down an otherwise straight sided column. It is named olive green, and in our photographs the colour reads as a muted grey brown with very little green in it. One candle is supplied.\u003c\/p\u003e\u003cp\u003eAt 15cm tall and 8cm across this is the small of two pillar sizes, with a large at 18cm by 10cm above it. It stands on its own and needs no holder. A sideboard or a mantelpiece takes it as readily as the middle of a laid table. Six colourways are made in the pillar, and there is a mini pillar below this size as well.\u003c\/p\u003e\u003cp\u003eSoy wax is the base of the blend, with paraffin wax worked in with it, and the candle is hand poured into a mould in a small batch. The pitting and the drag marks are what the pouring leaves behind, so the face of each candle is its own.
