royal-with-disc-globe-flush-ceiling-light-matt-polished-brass
Royal Alabaster Flush Ceiling Light with Disc - Polished Brass

Description

The Royal is a ceiling light with a single alabaster globe set beneath a broad brass disc. The globe shade is 10cm across and sits under a 15cm disc, which meets a slim brass base 8cm across and 2cm tall, all finished in matt polished brass. Alabaster is a natural stone. Its soft white-beige tone and gentle veining glow warmly when the light is on, giving a soft, diffused glow rather than a hard, bright point. It takes one G9 lamp. The recommended lamp is a G9 LED no longer than 60mm, so check the length before you choose a bulb.

Because it fixes flush to the ceiling, with no stem, it suits rooms where headroom matters: a hallway, a landing, a bedroom, a living room or a snug with a lower ceiling. The 15cm disc gives the globe a neat, framed look against the plaster, so it reads as a considered piece even in a small space. It is rated IP20, which means it belongs in dry rooms only. Its modern lines sit comfortably in a contemporary home, and the warm brass and pale stone also suit a softer, more traditional scheme.

The base and disc are brass in a matt polished finish, and the globe is alabaster, a natural stone with its own soft veining. It runs on 220-240V mains and is for a qualified electrician to install. It carries a 3 year guarantee. For styling, a single fitting makes a quiet focal point over a bed or in a hallway. Several spaced in a line along a corridor or landing ceiling give a gentle, even rhythm of light. Pair the brass with warm woods, linen and other brass details to tie the room together.

Specification

Finish

Polished Brass

Materials

Brass base with or without disc and alabaster shade.
