roxanne-north-opal-glass-globe-pendant-light-matt-black
Roxanne North Opal Glass Globe Pendant Light - Matt Black

Description

The Roxanne pendant light is a slim matt black iron rod with a single opal glass globe set partway down its length, held in balance by a short counterweight that sits behind the sphere. The 10cm globe softens the light of one G9 lamp into an even, gentle glow, and a G9 LED is the recommended lamp. The fitting is 49cm tall, 10cm wide and 15cm deep, and it hangs from an 8cm canopy on a 1.5m textile cable, so the line of the rod reads cleanly against a wall or a window.

This is a modern pendant for rooms where a light needs to look as considered as the furniture. Hang it beside a bed in place of a bedside lamp, over a side table or a reading chair in a living room, or in a hallway where a slim vertical shape suits a narrow space. Its small footprint makes it a good choice where a broad shade would crowd the room, and it works well hung alone or in a row of two or three. It is rated IP20, so it is for dry rooms only.

The structure is iron in a matt black finish, the globe is opal glass and the cable is textile, a plain mix of materials that keeps the design quiet and graphic. Opal glass diffuses light rather than showing the lamp, so the globe glows evenly. It carries a 3 year guarantee, and as a mains fitting it is for a qualified electrician to install. For styling, let the black rod pick up other dark details in the room, such as a picture frame, a lamp base or a table leg, and give the globe a plain wall behind it so the sphere of soft light stands out.

Specification

Finish

Matt Black

Materials

Iron structure, opal glass and textile cable

Height

49cm

Width

10cm

Depth

15cm

Canopy Diameter

8cm

Shade Diameter

10cm

Lamp Cap

G9

Number of Lamps

1

Recommended Lamp

G9 LED

Lamps Included

No

Maximum Wattage

10W per lamp

IP Rating

IP20

Voltage

220-240V

Cable Length

1.5m

Guarantee

3 years

Product Code

00592

Downloads

Assembly Instructions (PDF)

Frequently Asked

What bulb does the Roxanne pendant take?

It has one G9 lamp holder, and the recommended lamp is a G9 LED, which sits inside the opal glass globe.

How big is the Roxanne pendant light?

The fitting is 49cm tall, 10cm wide and 15cm deep, with a 10cm opal glass globe and an 8cm canopy at the ceiling.

How long is the cable?

It hangs on a 1.5m textile cable that runs from the 8cm ceiling canopy down to the top of the matt black rod.

What is it made of?

The structure is iron in a matt black finish, the globe is opal glass and the cable is covered in textile.

Can it go in a damp room or outdoors?

No. It is rated IP20, so it is for dry rooms only, such as a living room, bedroom or hallway.

Does it come with a guarantee?

Yes, it carries a 3 year guarantee, and as a mains fitting it is for a qualified electrician to install.
