round-50cm-9-pendant-ceiling-canopy-with-driver
Round 9 Pendant Ceiling Canopy 50cm with Driver

Description

The Round is a ceiling canopy for a cluster of pendants: a flat, round plate 50cm across and 3.9cm tall, with nine outlets for up to nine pendants, each sold separately. It gives no light of its own. Its job is to power the pendants hung from it, and it does that with a 75W driver built into the canopy, which feeds them at 24V DC. Because the driver is built in, there is no separate power supply or driver to buy. We sell it in White, Black, Brushed Champagne, Matt Black, Brushed Bronze and Brushed Brass, so you can match it to your pendants or to the ceiling.

Think of it as the ceiling rose for a grouped arrangement: nine pendants gathered over a long dining table, a cascade down a stairwell, or a cluster filling a tall hallway. Choose up to nine pendants that run at 24V DC to hang from it. The canopy ties them together at one point, so a single neat round plate takes the place of a row of separate fittings. It is an indoor canopy with no IP rating, so it belongs in dry rooms such as dining rooms, living rooms, landings and hallways.

The canopy runs on 230V mains power and is wired in by an electrician; the built-in driver then feeds the pendants at 24V DC. It switches on and off and is not dimmable, so it suits a standard switch rather than a dimmer. Behind the round plate sits an angular back box, and at 3.9cm tall the whole canopy stays close to the ceiling. The brushed finishes carry a fine, soft grain, while White, Black and Matt Black give a plainer look. Our practical advice: settle on the finish first, then choose your pendants to suit it. Our photographs show the white version.

Specification

Finish

White, Black, Brushed Champagne, Matt Black, Brushed Bronze & Brushed Brass

Diameter

50cm

Height

3.9cm

Dimmable

No

Power

Mains, wired in by an electrician

Outlets

9 pendants (each sold separately)

Driver

Built in, 75W, 24V DC output

Light

None of its own: it powers the pendants hung from it

Voltage

230V

Lead time

Made to order, usually delivered in 4 to 8 weeks

Frequently Asked

Does the Round ceiling canopy give any light of its own?

No. It has no light of its own.
