Each star is folded so that raised facets run from the centre out to every point, which catches the light on one side of a fold and leaves the other in shadow. The antique brass finish is mottled rather than even, gold across the flats and darker along the folds and the cut edges. A small brass ring at the top carries a knotted sari tie.\u003c\/p\u003e\u003cp\u003eAt 3.5cm deep these hang flat enough to sit on a branch without pushing it out of line. The ties are long enough to loop straight over a branch without a hook. Two in a set means a pair on one tree, or one each on two.
