ronda-pendant-light-ip44-yellow
Ronda Dome Pendant Light IP44 - Yellow

Description

The Ronda pendant light is a dome-shaped ceiling pendant in yellow, with a band of raised ribs running round the shade just above its open rim. The shade and structure are aluminium, and it hangs from a small round ceiling canopy on a 1.5m textile cable. It takes one E27 lamp, the standard large screw cap, so the colour and brightness of the light depend on the lamp fitted. The dome is open at the bottom, so the light falls downwards onto the table or worktop beneath it rather than spreading across the ceiling. It is an on-off fitting, worked from an ordinary light switch, with no dimming to set up.

We see it working hardest in a kitchen, hung over a dining table, an island or a stretch of worktop, where the downward light lands exactly where you chop, eat and read. It is rated IP44, which means it is protected against splashing water from any direction, so it copes with the splashes of a busy kitchen and suits a bathroom too. It is an indoor fitting, though, and not for outdoor use. The clean dome and plain colour sit comfortably in modern and Scandinavian rooms, from a bright breakfast corner to a hallway or landing that needs a cheerful lift.

The aluminium shade is one smooth dome, and the ribbed band near the rim gives it a crisp, engineered edge that catches the light. The textile cable makes a pleasing contrast with the metal. It runs on 220 to 240V mains and, as a mains fitting, is for a qualified electrician to install. It carries a 3 year guarantee. For styling, the yellow pairs well with natural oak, white walls and pale linen, and it looks just as good against deep blue or green paintwork, where the colour really sings.

Specification

Finish

Yellow

Materials

Aluminium structure and textile cable

Lamp Cap

E27

Number of Lamps

1

IP Rating

IP44

Control

On-off (switched)

Voltage

220-240V

Cable Length

1.5m

Guarantee

3 years

Product Code

06013

Frequently Asked

Can the Ronda pendant be dimmed?

No. It is an on-off fitting, worked from an ordinary light switch, and it is not sold as a dimmable light.

What bulb does the Ronda pendant take?

It has one E27 lamp holder, the standard large screw cap, so the lamp fitted sets the colour and brightness of the light.

Can I use this pendant in a kitchen or bathroom?

It is rated IP44, so it is protected against splashing water and suits kitchens and bathrooms.
