roberval-wall-art-set-of-2-white-gold
Roberval Wall Art Set of 2 - White & Gold

Description

The Roberval wall art comes as a set of two hand-painted panels in white and gold, made to hang side by side. Each panel has a textured white ground and a ribbed gold quarter-circle. Placed next to each other, the two curves meet to form one wide half-circle. Thin gold frames in plastic edge both pieces, and the backs are MDF. The size is given as 73cm high, 53cm long and 3cm wide, and the weight as 1.8KG, so this is a slim, light pair that sits close to the wall.

Hung as a pair, the arc reads as a single picture with a natural break down the middle. That gives a wide wall something to hold the eye without the bulk of one large canvas. We think it works well above a sofa, an armchair or a sideboard in a living room, over a bed, or along a hallway wall. The white ground keeps it light and calm against pale walls, while the gold catches whatever light the room has, so it suits a warm, neutral scheme as much as a brighter one. It is decor for indoor rooms.

Because the panels are hand-painted, the ribbed gold lines and the texture of the white ground carry the marks of the brush. Small differences between pieces are part of the character of handwork rather than a fault. The gold plastic frames are light and give a clean, narrow border, and the MDF backs give each panel a firm, flat base. On the practical side, hang the two at the same height with a small, even gap between them, so the half-circle lines up and reads as one shape.

Specification

Colour

Gold & White

Frame Material

Plastic

Frame Colour

Gold

Details

Hand-painted; Set of 2

Length

53cm

Width

3cm

Height

73cm

Weight

1.8KG

Back

Mdf

Frequently Asked

Do the two panels make one picture?

Yes.
