riva-wooden-console-table-brown
Riva Wooden Console Table - Brown

Description

Our Riva console table pairs a brown wooden frame with a top in a contrasting finish, giving a clean-lined piece for a hallway or the back of a sofa. It is 110cm long, 40cm wide and 80cm tall, so it takes up little room from front to back while still giving you a generous run of surface along a wall. The table is made of 50% firwood, 35% MDF and 15% iron, and it weighs 10.43KG, a manageable weight to move when you rearrange a room.

Its long, narrow shape makes it a natural fit for a hallway, where it gives keys, post and a bowl for odds and ends a place by the door. It sits just as well behind a sofa, along a landing or against a living room wall, as a display surface for vases, plants, candles and framed pictures. The open lower shelf between the legs adds a second level for books, baskets or a row of pots, so the top can stay clear for the pieces you want on show. In a bedroom it makes a home for folded throws and a jewellery dish.

The legs are brown MDF faced with a firwood veneer, and each end is a solid panel, which gives the table a grounded, blocky look from the side. The wood grain shows plainly on the legs and the shelf, so the piece reads as wood rather than paint. Care is simple: wipe it clean with a moist cloth. The maker's assembly instructions come as a PDF download. For styling, keep the top to a few pieces of different heights, perhaps a tall vase at one end and a low stack of books at the other, and give the lower shelf the larger things such as baskets or big pots.

Specification

Width

110cm

Depth

40cm

Height

80cm

Material

50% Firwood, 35% MDF, 15% Iron

Colour

Brown

Legs

Brown MDF, Firwood veneer

Care

Wipe clean with a moist cloth

Weight

10.43KG

Downloads

Assembly instructions (PDF)

Frequently Asked

What is the console table made of?

It is made of 50% firwood, 35% MDF and 15% iron.
