ribbon-bow-resin-taper-candle-holder-with-round-base-gold
Ribbon Bow Resin Taper Candle Holder with Round Base - Gold

Description

This gold candle holder takes a single taper candle in a neat, flared cup, raised on a short collared stem above a full ribbon bow. The bow is shaped with deep folds, a twisted knot at the centre and loops that spread out to either side, so it looks like satin ribbon tied by hand. Beneath it sits a round, stepped base. The whole piece is made of resin, also called polystone, and finished in a soft satin gold that glows warmly rather than shining like a mirror. It stands 9cm tall, 12cm across and 11cm deep.

Being low and broad, it sits comfortably on a dining table, a sideboard or the end of a mantelpiece, and is equally at home on a bedroom dressing table or a hallway shelf. The gold suits warm wood, white linen and painted walls alike, and it dresses up an everyday supper as readily as a dinner with guests. Set one in front of a mirror to double the candlelight, or group it with taller candlesticks so the bow sits at the front of the arrangement. It also makes a pretty gift for anyone who likes to lay a proper table for friends and family.

The round base gives a wide footprint on any flat surface, so it needs no fixing and moves easily from room to room. The cup is sized for a taper candle; push the candle in straight and check it stands upright before lighting. To care for it, dust with a soft dry cloth or wipe with a barely damp one, and keep it away from abrasive cleaners that could dull the satin gold. As with any candle, never leave it burning unattended and keep it clear of curtains and anything that can catch. For a classic look, we like it with an ivory or deep green taper.

Specification

Material

Polystone

Colour

Gold

Height

9cm

Width

12cm

Depth

11cm

Weight

0.255kg

Frequently Asked

How big is the ribbon bow candle holder?

It stands 9cm tall and measures 12cm across and 11cm deep, so it fits easily on a dining table, mantelpiece or shelf.

What kind of candle does it take?

It is a taper candle holder, made to hold a single taper candle upright in the cup above the ribbon bow.

What is the candle holder made of?

It is made of resin, also known as polystone, and finished all over in a soft satin gold.

Does it need fixing to anything?

No, it is freestanding on its round base, so you simply set it on a flat surface and move it wherever you like.

How do I clean it?

Dust it with a soft dry cloth, or wipe it with a barely damp cloth, and avoid abrasive cleaners that could dull the satin gold finish.

Would it make a good gift?

Yes, its tied ribbon bow and warm gold finish make it a pretty gift for anyone who enjoys candlelight at the table.
