renata-mini-drum-pendant-light-matt-black
Renata Mini Drum Pendant Light - Matt Black

Description

The Renata Mini Drum is a compact pendant light in matt black, made of a neat drum shade beneath a slim cylindrical neck, with a gold-toned ring where the two meet. It is a simple geometric shape in the modern Scandinavian manner, and that narrow band of warm colour is the only ornament it carries. The structure is aluminium, and it hangs on a textile cable 1.5m long. It takes one E27 lamp. Lamps are not included, so you choose the bulb, its brightness and its warmth, and because E27 is a common cap, replacements are easy to find.

We like it where a small, tidy pendant suits better than a large one: a hallway, a landing, beside the bed in place of a bedside lamp, or above a reading chair in a living room. Hang several in a row over a dining table and they make a clean, ordered line. The matt black sits comfortably with pale timber, white walls and other black fittings, and the gold-toned ring adds a little warmth without fuss. It is rated IP20, which means it is for dry rooms only. It is a switched fitting, working from an ordinary on-off wall switch, and it runs on 220-240V mains.

The construction is straightforward: an aluminium structure finished in matt black, with a textile cable rather than plastic flex. As a mains fitting it is for a qualified electrician to install, and it carries a 2 year guarantee. For styling, choose a frosted or opal E27 bulb in a warm white to keep glare down and bring out the gold-toned ring, and hang the drum where its matt black outline reads clearly against a pale wall.

Specification

Finish

Matt Black

Materials

Aluminium structure and textile cable

Height

24cm

Canopy Diameter

12cm

Shade Diameter

12cm

Lamp Cap

E27

Number of Lamps

1

Lamps Included

No

IP Rating

IP20

Control

On-off (switched)

Voltage

220-240V

Cable Length

1.5m

Guarantee

2 years

Product Code

00431

Frequently Asked

Does the Renata Mini Drum pendant come with a bulb?

No. Lamps are not included, so you will need one E27 bulb, which lets you choose the brightness and colour of light you prefer.

Can I dim this pendant?

It is a switched fitting with on-off control, so it works from an ordinary wall switch rather than a dimmer.

Can it go in a bathroom?

No. It is rated IP20, so it is for dry rooms only, such as a hallway, bedroom or dining room.

What is the pendant made of?

The structure is aluminium in a matt black finish, with a gold-toned ring at the neck, and it hangs on a textile cable.

How long is the cable?

The textile cable is 1.5m long, and as a mains fitting the pendant is for a qualified electrician to install.
