reina-opal-glass-pendant-light-matt-black
Reina Opal Glass Pendant Light - Matt Black

Description

Our Reina pendant light pairs a matt black finish with a small opal glass shade, so it gives a soft, even glow rather than a hard point of light. A slim cylindrical body drops to a flat round disc, and the 6.5cm opal glass shade sits at its centre, just beneath. The whole fitting is 18.5cm tall and 19.5cm across, hung on a 1.5m textile cable from an 8cm canopy. Its light source is the Dash bulb, drawing 4W for 330 lumens of warm 2700K light with a colour rendering index of 85 or more, so food, fabrics and skin tones look natural under it.

This is a pendant for dry rooms: it is rated IP20, so it suits living rooms, bedrooms, hallways and landings. Hung low over a small dining table, it throws a pool of warm light where you sit, and the opal glass keeps it soft. A pair or a row works well over a longer table, and on its own it makes a neat bedside light hung beside the bed in place of a table lamp. It works from an ordinary wall switch, on and off, and is not made for a dimmer. It suits a modern home that favours clean, simple shapes.

The structure and disc are brass under the matt black finish, the shade is opal glass and the cable is textile, a softer look than bare plastic flex. It runs on 220 to 240V mains and is for a qualified electrician to install, and it carries a 3 year guarantee. For styling, let the black disc pick up other dark details in the room, such as picture frames, black dining chairs or iron curtain poles, and hang it so the opal shade sits just below eye level when you are seated.

Specification

Finish

Matt Black

Materials

Brass structure and disc, opal glass shade and textile cable

Height

18.5cm

Diameter

19.5cm

Canopy Diameter

8cm

Shade Diameter

6.5cm

Light Source

Dash bulb

Power

4W

Light Output

330 lumens

Colour Temperature

2700K

CRI

≥ 85

IP Rating

IP20

Control

On-off (switched)

Voltage

220-240V

Cable Length

1.5m

Guarantee

3 years

Product Code

04552

Downloads

Assembly Instructions (PDF)

Frequently Asked

Is the Reina pendant dimmable?

No. It is on-off switched, so it works from an ordinary wall switch and is not made to be used with a dimmer.

Can I hang it in a bathroom?

No. It is rated IP20, so it is for dry rooms only, such as living rooms, bedrooms, dining rooms and hallways.

How big is the Reina pendant?

The fitting is 18.5cm tall and 19.5cm across, with a 6.5cm opal glass shade, an 8cm canopy and a 1.5m textile cable.

How bright is it and what colour is the light?

Its Dash bulb light source draws 4W and gives 330 lumens of warm 2700K light, with a colour rendering index of 85 or more.

What is the pendant made of?

The structure and disc are brass in a matt black finish, the shade is opal glass and the cable is covered in textile.

Does it come with a guarantee?

Yes, it carries a 3 year guarantee, and as a mains fitting it is for a qualified electrician to install.
