reiko-flat-pendant-light-with-wood-base-yellow
Reiko Flat Pendant Light with Wood Base - Yellow

Description

The Reiko Flat Pendant Light is a compact ceiling pendant with a low, flat dome shade in yellow aluminium, topped by a natural ash wood base where the textile cable meets the shade. The dome is broad and shallow, so it reads as a soft, rounded shape from below and sends its light down towards whatever sits beneath it. It is 15cm tall and 21cm across, with an 8cm canopy at the ceiling, a modest size that keeps it in proportion over a small table or counter. The yellow is warm without being loud, and the pale grain of the ash gives the whole fitting a gentle, natural finish.

We see it working best where you want light gathered over one spot: above a dining table for two, along a bar counter, or hung low beside the bed in place of a table lamp. Its modern, Scandinavian-style lines sit happily in a pared-back flat, a family dining room or a guest bedroom, and the yellow brings a dose of colour to a white or grey scheme without taking it over. At 21cm across it suits smaller rooms and tighter spots where a wide shade would crowd the space, and a few hung in a row along a counter make a neat, even line of light.

The shade is aluminium, the base is natural ash wood and the cable is covered in textile, a pairing of smooth metal and warm timber that gives the Reiko its character. As a mains fitting it is for a qualified electrician to install. For styling, pick up the ash with a wooden table or oak shelving, and let the yellow echo a cushion, a print or a rug nearby, so the pendant feels part of the room rather than set apart from it.

Specification

Finish

Yellow

Materials

Aluminium shade, natural ash wood base and textile cable

Height

15cm

Diameter

21cm

Canopy Diameter

8cm

Lamp Cap

E27

Number of Lamps

1

IP Rating

IP20

Control

On-off (switched)

Voltage

220-240V

Cable Length

1.5m

Guarantee

3 years

Product Code

09663

Frequently Asked

How big is the Reiko pendant?

It is 15cm tall and 21cm across, and the canopy that sits at the ceiling is 8cm across.

What is the Reiko pendant made from?

The shade is aluminium in a yellow finish, the base is natural ash wood, and the pendant hangs from a textile cable.

Where does this yellow pendant work best?

It suits spots where you want light gathered over one place, such as a small dining table, a bar counter or beside a bed.

Can I fit it myself?

It is a mains fitting, so it is for a qualified electrician to install rather than a job to take on yourself.

What style of room does it suit?

Its modern, Scandinavian-style look of yellow aluminium and pale ash wood sits well in simple, light schemes and in rooms that want a touch of colour.
