reiko-flat-pendant-light-with-wood-base-green
Reiko Flat Pendant Light with Wood Base - Green

Description

The Reiko is a flat pendant light: a wide, low dome shade in green aluminium, topped by a short cylinder of natural ash wood. It stands 15cm tall and 21cm across, so it reads as a compact, grounded shape rather than a tall one, and the dome directs its light down onto whatever sits beneath it. The ash base brings the warmth of real wood grain against the smooth green metal, and the fitting hangs from a textile cable rather than plain plastic flex. At the ceiling it finishes in a small 8cm canopy that sits neatly out of the way.

We think its size is its strength: this is a pendant for light close to a surface. Hung on its own, it works beside a bed in place of a table lamp, over a desk in a study, or above a reading chair in a quiet corner. Two or three in a row suit a dining table, where the 21cm shade keeps each one in proportion and leaves the view across the table open. Its Scandinavian, modern lines sit well with pared-back rooms, painted wood, linen and pale floors, and the green adds colour without taking over. It is an indoor fitting, at home in living rooms, bedrooms, hallways, landings and dining rooms.

The shade is made from aluminium and the base from natural ash, its open grain clear across the collar, while the textile cable gives a softer, more finished line from ceiling to shade. As a ceiling pendant, it is one for a qualified electrician to install. For styling, let the wood echo other natural materials in the room, such as an oak table, rattan chairs or a jute rug, and set the green against warm whites, terracotta or soft greys for a relaxed Scandinavian feel.

Specification

Finish

Green

Materials

Aluminium shade, natural ash wood base and textile cable

Height

15cm

Diameter

21cm

Canopy Diameter

8cm

Lamp Cap

E27

Number of Lamps

1

Lamps Included

No

IP Rating

IP20

Control

On-off (switched)

Voltage

220-240V

Cable Length

1.5m

Guarantee

3 years

Product Code

09656

Frequently Asked

How big is the Reiko pendant?

It is 15cm tall and 21cm across, with an 8cm canopy at the ceiling, so it is a compact, low-profile pendant.

What is the Reiko pendant made from?

The shade is aluminium in a green finish, the base is natural ash wood, and the fitting hangs from a textile cable.

What shape is the shade?

It is a wide, low dome, 21cm across, sitting beneath a short cylindrical collar of natural ash wood.

Where does this pendant work best?

Its compact size suits light close to a surface: over a desk, beside a bed, or hung in a row over a dining table.

Can the Reiko pendant be used outdoors?

No. The Reiko is an indoor pendant, made for rooms such as living rooms, bedrooms, hallways and dining rooms.

Who should install this pendant?

As a ceiling pendant, it is one for a qualified electrician to install, and it finishes at the ceiling in an 8cm canopy.
