reiko-dome-flush-ceiling-light-with-wood-base-terracotta
Reiko Dome Flush Ceiling Light with Wood Base - Terracotta

Description

The Reiko is a compact dome flush ceiling light that pairs a terracotta aluminium shade with a base of natural ash wood. The dome is smooth and rounded, widening to an open rim that directs light down into the room, and above it sits a short, cylindrical wood base that fixes flush to the ceiling, with no stem. It takes one E27 lamp, the familiar large screw-in cap, so a wide choice of bulbs will fit it. The whole fitting is 16cm tall and 21cm across, and the wood base is 11.5cm across.

Because it has no stem and stands only 16cm tall, the Reiko suits rooms where a hanging pendant would feel in the way: a hallway, a landing, a box room, a bedroom or a study with a lower ceiling. The warm terracotta brings a soft, earthy colour overhead, and the pale ash keeps the look light, which suits modern and Scandinavian interiors alike. It is rated IP20, so it is for dry rooms only. It works from your wall switch as a simple on-off fitting on a 220-240V supply, and as a mains fitting it is for a qualified electrician to install.

The shade is aluminium with a smooth terracotta finish, and the base is natural ash wood, its grain running round the short cylinder, so a solid colour meets a natural texture in one small fitting. It carries a 3 year guarantee. As a styling note, we like the Reiko on its own in a smaller room, or in a pair along a corridor or landing, and its terracotta sits happily beside linen, oatmeal and sage tones, warm timber floors and plain white walls.

Specification

Finish

Terracotta

Materials

Aluminium shade and natural ash wood base

Height

16cm

Diameter

21cm

Base Diameter

11.5cm

Lamp Cap

E27

Number of Lamps

1

Lamps Included

No

IP Rating

IP20

Control

On-off (switched)

Voltage

220-240V

Guarantee

3 years

Product Code

09755

Frequently Asked

What bulb does the Reiko take?

It takes one E27 lamp, the large screw-in cap, so a wide range of standard bulbs will fit its single lamp holder.

How big is the Reiko ceiling light?

The fitting is 16cm tall and 21cm across, and the natural ash wood base above the dome shade is 11.5cm across.

What is it made of?

The dome shade is aluminium in a terracotta finish and the cylindrical base is natural ash wood, and the fitting carries a 3 year guarantee.

Can I dim it?

It is listed as an on-off switched fitting, so it is made to work from an ordinary wall switch rather than a dimmer.

Is it suitable for damp rooms?

No. It is rated IP20, so it is for dry rooms only, such as a hallway, bedroom, landing or living room.

Is it a good choice for a low ceiling?

Yes.
