reiko-cone-pendant-light-with-wood-base-matt-black
Reiko Cone Pendant Light with Wood Base - Matt Black

Description

The Reiko is a compact pendant light in matt black, with a smooth aluminium shade that rises to a cone of natural ash wood at its top. The shade is rounded and open at the base, so its light is directed downwards, while the pale grain of the ash gives the dark metal a warm, natural contrast. It hangs on a textile cable and measures 24cm tall and 21cm across, with an 8cm ceiling canopy, so it sits as a neat, modest pendant rather than a large centrepiece.

Its size makes it a natural choice wherever you want light close to a surface. Hung over a dining table, a desk or a breakfast bar, it brings the light down to where you sit, and two or three in a line work well along a longer table. It suits a hallway, a landing or a bedroom too, where a pendant beside the bed frees up space on the bedside table. The look is Scandinavian and modern: clean lines, a dark matt surface and a touch of real wood, which sit comfortably in pared-back rooms, alongside oak or pine furniture, or against white walls and pale floors. It is made for use indoors.

We like how honest the materials are: an aluminium shade in matt black, a base of natural ash wood and a textile covered cable, with nothing added for effect. As a mains fitting, it should be installed by a qualified electrician. For styling, let the ash pick up other natural materials in the room, such as a timber table top, linen or rattan, and keep the surroundings calm so the contrast of black metal and pale wood can do the work.

Specification

Finish

Matt Black

Materials

Aluminium shade, natural ash wood base and textile cable

Height

24cm

Diameter

21cm

Canopy Diameter

8cm

Lamp Cap

E27

Number of Lamps

1

Lamps Included

No

IP Rating

IP20

Control

On-off (switched)

Voltage

220-240V

Cable Length

1.5m

Guarantee

3 years

Product Code

01643

Frequently Asked

What is the Reiko pendant made of?

The shade is aluminium in a matt black finish, the base at the top is natural ash wood, and it hangs on a textile cable.

How big is the Reiko pendant?

It measures 24cm tall and 21cm across, and the ceiling canopy is 8cm in diameter, so it suits smaller spaces and hanging close to a surface.

What shape is the shade?

The aluminium shade is rounded and open at the base, and it narrows at the top into a cone of natural ash wood.

Where does this pendant work best?

It is an indoor pendant that works well over a dining table, desk or breakfast bar, in a hallway or on a landing, or beside a bed.

Can I hang more than one together?

Yes.
