reeve-ribbed-glass-vase-18cm-green
Reeve Ribbed Glass Vase 18cm - Green

Description

This is a green glass vase with a ribbed body that swells to a wide, rounded shoulder and then narrows to a small, solid foot. It stands 18cm tall and measures 16.5cm across at its widest, so it sits comfortably on a console, a sideboard or a bedside table without crowding it. The ribs run from the rim down to the foot, and because the colour is in the glass itself, light passing through the ribs shows it in lighter and deeper bands, with the thick foot reading deepest of all.

The opening is wide enough for a loose handful of stems, so it suits a few branches of greenery, a bunch of garden flowers or dried grasses as well as a neater bouquet. On a hall console it gives a narrow surface some height without taking up much space, and on a dining table it makes a low centrepiece, so the view across the table stays open. It also holds its own empty, on a shelf or a windowsill where light can come through the glass. It makes a thoughtful gift for a new home or for anyone who likes to keep fresh flowers in the house.

It is made of 100% glass, mouthblown into a mould, and the green is solid coloured glass rather than a paint or a coating. Glass blown by mouth can vary a little from one piece to the next, so slight differences in the ribs or the odd tiny bubble are a normal part of the process. At 0.84KG it has a reassuring weight in the hand. For styling, keep the stems loose and let them lean out over the shoulder; green foliage picks up the colour of the glass, while white or pale flowers stand out clearly against it.

Specification

Height

18cm

Diameter

16.5cm

Material

100% Glass

Colour

Green

Finish

Solid coloured glass, mouthblown into mold

Weight

0.84KG

Frequently Asked

What material is the vase?

It is made of 100% glass, mouthblown into a mould, and the green colour is solid coloured glass rather than a coating on the surface.

How big is the vase?

It stands 18cm tall and measures 16.5cm across, a size that suits a small bunch of flowers or a few branches of greenery on a table or shelf.

How heavy is it?

It weighs 0.84KG, which gives it a solid feel in the hand while still being easy to lift and move when you change the flowers.

Does it look good without flowers in it?

Yes.
