rectangular-wooden-poster-photo-frame-14-x-11in-black
Rectangular Wooden Poster Photo Frame 14 x 11in - Black

Description

This black wooden photo frame is made for posters, art prints and larger photographs, with a clean rectangular outline that lets the picture take centre stage. The moulding is plain and squared off, and a subtle wood grain shows through the deep black finish, so it sits as happily in a modern flat as in a period home. It takes a 14 x 11in print, a handy size for posters, exhibition prints and enlarged photographs, while the frame itself is 38cm tall, 31cm wide and 3cm deep. That gives a picture real presence on the wall.

Hang it in a living room, hallway, bedroom, study or home office, wherever a favourite poster, map, travel photograph or piece of artwork deserves a proper home. Black is the easiest frame colour to live with: it sharpens bright colours, suits black and white photography and works against white, grey or boldly painted walls alike. Because it hangs upright or on its side, it is just as useful for a landscape print as a portrait one, and it pairs well with other black frames in a gallery wall, where a few matching outlines pull a mix of pictures together.

The frame is made from wood with a black finish, and the back is closed with a black backing board held by small fixings around the edge. There are two hangers on the back, one centred near the top edge and one near a side edge, so you can choose which way round it goes before you put up the hook. For care, we suggest dusting the frame with a soft dry cloth and keeping it away from damp and strong direct sun, which can fade any print over time. We like it hung at eye level above a sofa or a desk, or leaning on a picture ledge with a few smaller frames around it.

Specification

Material

Wood

Colour

Black

Height

38cm

Width

31cm

Depth

3cm

Weight

1.003kg

Photo Size

14 x 11in (36 x 28cm)

Frequently Asked

What size print does this frame take?

It takes a 14 x 11in print, a popular size for posters, art prints and enlarged photographs, so it suits a picture you want seen across the room.

How big is the frame itself?

The frame measures 38cm tall, 31cm wide and 3cm deep, so it needs a little more wall space than the print it holds.

What is the frame made from?

It is made from wood with a black finish, and a subtle grain shows through the colour when you look closely at the moulding.

Can I hang it landscape as well as portrait?

Yes, there are two hangers on the back, one near the top edge and one near a side edge, so it hangs upright or on its side.

How should I look after the frame?

We suggest dusting it with a soft dry cloth and keeping it away from damp and strong direct sun, which can fade any print in time.
