rebeca-dome-pendant-light-matt-black-and-gold
Rebeca Dome Pendant Light - Matt Black & Gold

Description

The Rebeca is a single-light dome pendant with a wide, shallow aluminium shade in matt black and gold. It is matt black on the outside and gold on the inside, with a small gold collar where the textile cable meets the top of the dome. It is 14cm tall and 56cm across, so it reads as a broad, low dome rather than a deep bowl. It takes one E27 lamp, the standard large screw cap, which leaves the choice of brightness and colour of light to you. The light falls from the open rim, and the gold lining catches it as it leaves the shade.

At 56cm across, this is a pendant for a room with some space around it. It suits a dining table, where the wide dome sits comfortably over the length of the table. It also suits the centre of a living room or bedroom where one plain, modern fitting is wanted. It is an on-off fitting, run from an ordinary wall switch. It is rated IP20, so it is for dry rooms only. Its clean lines sit easily with plain plaster, timber and warm neutral fabrics, and the black outer finish gives a crisp shape against a pale ceiling.

The shade is aluminium, and the fitting hangs on a 1.5m textile cable from a 12cm round ceiling canopy. It runs on 220-240V mains, so it is for a qualified electrician to install, and it carries a 3 year guarantee. For styling, we like two hung side by side at slightly different heights over a long table or in front of a sofa wall, where the pair of domes reads as one composed group. A single one works just as well as the main light over a round dining table. The black and gold pairing sits well with brass handles, warm wood and soft cream upholstery elsewhere in the room.

Specification

Finish

Matt Black & Gold

Materials

Aluminium shade and textile cable

Height

14cm

Diameter

56cm

Canopy Diameter

12cm

Lamp Cap

E27

Number of Lamps

1

IP Rating

IP20

Control

On-off (switched)

Voltage

220-240V

Cable Length

1.5m

Guarantee

3 years

Product Code

04330

Frequently Asked

What bulb does the Rebeca dome pendant take?

It takes one E27 lamp, the standard large screw cap, so you can choose the brightness and colour of light that suits the room.

Can I dim the Rebeca pendant?

It is an on-off switched fitting, run from an ordinary wall switch, rather than one listed for use with a dimmer.

How big is the Rebeca pendant?

It is 14cm tall and 56cm across, and it hangs on a 1.5m textile cable from a 12cm round ceiling canopy.

Can I hang it in a bathroom?

No. It is rated IP20, so it is for dry rooms only, such as a living room, dining room or bedroom.

What is the Rebeca pendant made of?

The dome shade is aluminium in matt black and gold, black on the outside and gold on the inside, and the cable is textile.

Does it carry a guarantee?

Yes, it carries a 3 year guarantee.
