rearing-horse-handpainted-wood-effect-resin-figurine-brown
Rearing Horse Handpainted Wood Effect Resin Figurine - Brown

Description

This handpainted resin figurine captures a horse in full rear, standing tall on its hind legs with its forelegs raised, its mane swept back and its tail streaming down to a rugged, rocky base. The whole piece is made in polyresin and given a wood effect finish, with fine grain lines running across the horse's body and shading that moves from light honey to a warm mid brown. Darker, bark-like edges along the base finish the look. It stands 23cm tall, 20cm across and 7.5cm deep, a good size to hold its own on a shelf without crowding it.

At only 7.5cm deep, it sits comfortably on a mantelpiece, a narrow bookshelf, a windowsill or the end of a sideboard, and it looks just as at home on a desk in a study or a hall table where it greets people coming in. The warm brown tones suit rooms dressed in natural shades, from oak and pine furniture to linen, wool and leather, and the open shape of the rearing pose lets light pass through, so it never feels heavy even in a small space. The pose reads best from the front, so we like to set it where it can be seen straight on.

The horse is painted by hand, so the shading on each piece can differ a little from the next, which is part of its charm. To keep it looking its best, dust it with a soft dry cloth, or wipe it gently with a slightly damp cloth and dry it straight away. For a relaxed display, we set it beside a trailing plant or a short stack of books, and it makes a thoughtful present just as it is.

Specification

Material

Polyresin

Colour

Brown

Finish

Handpainted

Height

23cm

Width

20cm

Depth

7.5cm

Weight

0.504kg

Frequently Asked

How big is the rearing horse figurine?

It stands 23cm tall, measures 20cm across and is 7.5cm deep, so it fits comfortably on a mantelpiece, windowsill or narrow shelf.

What is the horse figurine made of?

It is made of polyresin and finished by hand in a wood effect, with grain lines and shading that run across the horse and its rocky base.

What colour is the figurine?

It is a warm brown wood effect, shading from light honey to mid brown, with darker bark-like edges along the base.

Does the figurine need to be fixed to a wall?

No, it is freestanding and rests on its own rocky base, so it simply sits on any flat, level surface such as a shelf or sideboard.

How should I clean the resin horse?

Dust it with a soft dry cloth, or wipe it gently with a slightly damp cloth and dry it straight away to keep the painted finish looking its best.

Is the figurine painted by hand?

Yes, it is handpainted, so the shading on each piece can vary a little from one to the next, giving every horse its own character.
