raynee-pebble-iron-wall-decor-brass
Raynee Pebble Iron Wall Decor - Brass

Description

Raynee is wall art made from 100% iron, shaped as a loose cluster of pebble-like plates in a brass colour. Each plate is slightly dished, with a brushed and dimpled surface that picks up light unevenly across the piece, so it gives a wall texture and depth as well as colour. It is 85cm long and 77cm tall, with a width of just 5cm, so it sits close to the wall rather than reaching out into the room. At that size it fills the kind of space you might otherwise give to a large framed print.

Hang it above a sofa, a sideboard or a console table in the living room, or over the bed in a bedroom, where it can sit centred over the furniture. It also works on a hallway wall that needs something with more depth than another frame. Because the plates vary in size and sit at slight angles to one another, the piece looks relaxed rather than formal, and it sits comfortably alongside woven wall coverings, wooden furniture and soft, textured upholstery. It suits anyone who wants metal on the wall without the hard edges of a mirror, and it brings warmth to a plainly painted room.

The plates are iron with a varnished finish, joined at the back by slim rods that hold the cluster together and let some plates overlap their neighbours. Iron is a strong, dense metal, and the whole piece weighs 1.95KG, a figure worth knowing when you choose a fixing for your wall. The maker's assembly instructions come as a PDF download, so you can read them before you start. For styling, leave some clear wall around it so its outline reads cleanly, and place a table lamp to one side: light falling across the surface from an angle brings out the dimpled texture.

Specification

Width

5cm

Length

85cm

Height

77cm

Material

100% Iron

Colour

Brass

Finish

Varnished

Weight

1.95KG

Downloads

Assembly instructions (PDF)

Frequently Asked

What material is it?

It is made from 100% iron in a brass colour, with a varnished finish over the dimpled surface of each plate.

Is it real brass?

No. Brass is the colour; the material is 100% iron, varnished, so you get the look of brass on a strong iron piece.

How big is it?

It is 85cm long, 77cm tall and 5cm wide, so it suits a generous stretch of wall such as the space above a sofa or sideboard.

How heavy is it?

It weighs 1.95KG, which is worth bearing in mind when you choose a fixing suited to your wall.

Are there instructions for putting it up?

Yes.
