rattan-squirrel-and-pine-cone-wreath-50cm-orange-and-brown
Rattan Squirrel and Pine Cone Wreath 50cm - Orange & Brown

Description

This round rattan wreath is built around a bristly little squirrel in a checked scarf, tucked into a bank of pine cones, red berries and leaves in shades of orange, rust and gold. Small pumpkins, sunny yellow flowers and long feathery leaves fan out across the lower half of the ring, while the top is left open to show off the dark brown weave. A wide bow with long orange ribbon tails sits beneath the squirrel, and its soft cream tail curls up behind it. It is made from rattan and plastic, and at 50cm it reads clearly across a room.

Hang it on an inside door, a hallway wall or a chimney breast and it brings the colours of the woodland indoors. The orange and brown palette sits happily alongside natural wood, painted panelling and stone, so it feels at home in a cottage kitchen, a country-style living room or a cosy snug. Because the decoration gathers across the bottom of the ring, it looks balanced at eye level. If you love woodland creatures, the squirrel gives it a friendly character that a plain leaf wreath lacks.

A cord loop at the top lets it hang from a single hook, nail or over-door hanger, and the back of the ring is left plain so it hangs neatly. We would keep it indoors, away from damp, radiators and strong sunshine, and dust it now and then with a soft dry brush, gently easing any bent leaves back into shape. Between seasons, store it in a box where nothing presses on the squirrel or the bow. For a cheerful gift or a simple seasonal change at home, hang it as the first leaves start to turn.

Specification

Material

Plastic

Colour

Orange & Brown

Weight

0.741kg

Frequently Asked

How big is the wreath?

It is a 50cm wreath, a generous size for an inside door, a hallway wall or the space above a fireplace.

What is the wreath made from?

The wreath is made from rattan and plastic, with a woven ring dressed with a squirrel, pine cones, berries, flowers and leaves.

How does the wreath hang?

There is a cord loop at the top of the ring, so it hangs easily from a single hook, nail or over-door hanger.

What colours is the squirrel wreath?

It is mainly orange with brown, from the dark brown woven ring and cones to the orange leaves, pumpkins and ribbon tails, with touches of yellow and cream.

How should I look after it?

Dust it gently with a soft dry brush, keep it away from damp and strong sunshine, and store it boxed between seasons so nothing gets crushed.

Does it make a good gift?

Yes, it makes a cheerful present for anyone who loves woodland wildlife and warm, earthy colours around the home.
