quinn-outdoor-wall-lantern-ip64-antique-brass
Quinn Outdoor Wall Lantern IP64 - Antique Brass

Description

The Quinn is a goose neck outdoor wall lantern made from solid brass in an antique brass finish, a dark, softly worn tone lifted by lighter brass highlights. A curved arm leaves a round wall plate and drops into a stepped, flared hood, and beneath it hangs a shade of clear ribbed glass with a rounded base. It is 17cm wide and 30cm tall, sits 22cm from the wall on a 10cm wall plate, and weighs 2.6KG. It is rated IP64, which means it is dust-tight and protected from splashing water, so it can stay outdoors through every season of British weather.

Put one beside a front door or in a porch, or fix it to a garden wall, a boathouse or an outbuilding that needs a light by its door. The goose neck and flared hood give it the look of a quayside lamp, and it sits as happily on a coastal cottage or period brickwork as on plain modern render. The maker says its range takes a maritime influence, seen in the materials, the designs and even the names, and here it shows in clean industrial lines rather than decoration. A pair either side of a front door or a garage looks balanced and welcoming.

Solid brass darkens and mellows outdoors, and the maker says this body has an aged, original-looking finish, so it starts out looking settled and only gains character as the seasons pass. The glass is clear and ribbed, which gives the shade texture by day as well as by night. The cable enters at the rear, so it can stay hidden behind the wall plate. The lantern takes one E27 (ES) lamp, the standard large screw cap, so a replacement is easy to find. As a mains light, it should be installed by a qualified electrician. A warm white lamp suits the antique brass best after dark.

Specification

Finish

Antique Brass

Material

Solid Brass

Diffuser

Clear Ribbed Glass

Lamp

1 x E27 (ES)

IP Rating

IP64

Width

17cm

Height

30cm

Projection

22cm

Wall Plate

10cm

Cable Entry

At the Rear

Weight

2.6KG

Supply

230V ~ 50Hz

Protection Class

Class I

Certification

CE

Country of Origin

European Union

Manufacturer's Warranty

2 Years

Downloads

Installation Instructions (PDF)

Frequently Asked

Can the Quinn wall lantern go outside all year?

Yes.
