The stone is a pale warm cream and is cut as a plain rectangular block with square edges. A small brass control sits on the top face of the stone. The glass, the copper and the stone are the whole of the lamp. It measures 31cm tall, in glass, metal and travertine.\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003eIt is a lamp for a side table, a desk or a bedside, close enough to reach the switch from where you sit, and it lights the surface it stands on rather than the whole room. A pair either side of a bed or a sofa reads as deliberate where one alone reads as an afterthought, and two smaller lamps light a room more evenly than one large one.
