There is no frame and no backing board: the facet is the edge treatment and the outline is the shape. At 1cm deep it sits almost flush to the wall, so the glass reads as a panel set into the plaster rather than as an object hung on it. The design is by Esther Everaert.\u003c\/p\u003e\u003cp\u003eThe proportions are made for a narrow wall: the strip beside a door, a hallway, the return between two openings, or a bathroom where it is rated to go. It hangs in two directions, so the same mirror works upright in a hall or laid on its side above a run of low furniture, and the outline is symmetrical enough that neither reads as the wrong way up. At 8kg it is a one person lift, with two screws, washers and plugs supplied and nothing to assemble. Give it a wall it can sit clear on, because a frameless mirror takes its edge from the wall behind it.\u003c\/p\u003e\u003cp\u003eThe mirror is a single sheet of mirrored glass with a ground facet, and nothing else. Clean it with cleaner sprayed onto a soft cloth, taking the cloth along the facet rather than across it so the ground surface is not left streaked. The facet is what does the work: it catches light at a different angle from the face, so the outline stays visible even against a pale wall where a plain frameless mirror would lose its edge. The same design is made in a 65cm and a 95cm size.
