prolbane-wooden-pendant-light-21cm-black
Prolbane Wooden Pendant Light 21cm - Black

Description

The Prolbane is a wooden pendant light with a rounded cage shade of natural wood slats, hanging from a black canopy on a black cord, with black rings at the top and bottom of the shade. It measures 21cm across, with an overall height of 110cm from the ceiling canopy to the base of the shade. It takes one E27 bulb of up to 28W, bought separately, as the bulb is not included. It is rated IP20, and that settles where it belongs: indoors, in dry rooms, away from bathrooms and the garden.

At 21cm across, this wooden pendant is compact enough for a bedroom, where it hangs neatly beside the bed in place of a bedside lamp and leaves the table free for books and a plant. It suits a hallway, a landing or a reading corner just as well, and a pair hung side by side makes a relaxed group. The open slats let the light through in stripes, so the walls nearby pick up a soft pattern of light and shade whenever the bulb is lit. Pale natural wood with black steel sits comfortably in a Scandinavian, boho or simple modern room, and the earthy tones work well with linen, greenery and oak.

The body is black steel and the shade is natural wood, built as a cage of vertical slats braced by two horizontal bands, with a black ring framing the open base. There is no switch on the light itself; it is switched at the wall, so it works from the switch already in the room. It runs at 220-240V, 50/60Hz, and weighs 0.904KG packed. As a wired-in mains light, it should be installed by a qualified electrician, and the installation instructions come as a download. Because the bulb sits in full view behind the slats, a decorative bulb is worth choosing alongside it.

Specification

Overall Height

110cm

Diameter

21cm

Body Material

Steel

Body Colour

Black

Shade Material

Wood

Shade Colour

Natural

Light Source

E27 (bulb not included)

Wattage

Max 28W

Switch

None (switched at the wall)

IP Rating

IP20

Protection Class

Class II

Voltage

220-240V, 50/60Hz

Weight (packed)

0.904KG

Downloads

Installation Instructions (PDF)

Frequently Asked

Can the Prolbane pendant go in a bathroom?

No. It is rated IP20, which means it belongs indoors in dry rooms, so it is not one for a bathroom, a porch or the garden.

Which bulb does this pendant light take?

It takes one E27 bulb with a maximum of 28W.
