principe-led-10-light-flush-ceiling-light-gold
Principe LED 10 Light Flush Ceiling Light - Gold

Description

The Principe is a round flush ceiling light, 50cm in diameter and only 10.5cm deep, so it sits close to the ceiling and suits rooms where a hanging pendant would crowd the space. The steel body has a gold finish with a crinkled, leaf-like texture, built in stepped tiers: a wide outer plate, a band of square-cut clear brilliant glass, then an inner ring lined with a second band of glass. Light comes from 10 integrated LEDs at 3.15W each, giving 380lm per light in a warm 3000K. It is rated IP20, which makes it an indoor light for dry rooms.

We see it working best in a living room, dining room or bedroom. It also makes sense in a hallway with a modest ceiling height, where the shallow depth keeps headroom clear. The cut glass catches the light from the LEDs and throws a gentle sparkle around the room, so the space feels finished even with the light dimmed low. It suits anyone who wants a dressier look than a plain flush light gives, without giving up ceiling height. Because the LEDs are dimmable, you can run it bright for a family meal and bring it down for a quiet evening.

The LEDs are built in and not replaceable, so there are no bulbs to buy or change over the years. There is no switch on the light itself. It is switched at the wall and runs on 220-240V, 50/60Hz mains. Its energy class is E. As a mains fitting wired into the ceiling, it is installed by a qualified electrician, and the installation instructions are available as a download. Packed, it weighs 5.086KG. Before you order, it is worth marking out a 50cm circle on the ceiling to see how the light will sit in your room.

Specification

Height

10.5cm

Diameter

50cm

Body Material

Steel

Body Colour

Gold-coloured

Shade Material

Brilliant glass

Shade Colour

Clear

Light Source

LED, integrated

Wattage

10 x 3.15W

Lumens

380lm per light (10 lights)

Colour Temperature

3000K

Dimmable

Yes

Features

LED not replaceable

Switch

None (switched at the wall)

IP Rating

IP20

Protection Class

Class II

Voltage

220-240V, 50/60Hz

Energy Class

E

Weight (packed)

5.086KG

Downloads

Installation Instructions (PDF)

Frequently Asked

Can I fit the Principe in a bathroom?

No. It is rated IP20, which means it is meant for dry indoor rooms only, so we would not place it in a bathroom or anywhere near water.

Is the Principe dimmable?

Yes, the integrated LEDs are dimmable, so you can lower the light for a calm evening and raise it again for cleaning or reading.

Can the LEDs be replaced?

No, the LEDs are integrated and not replaceable, which means there are no bulbs to buy and no lamps to change in the years ahead.

How big is the light?

It is 50cm in diameter and 10.5cm deep, so it sits close to the ceiling and suits rooms where a pendant would hang too low.

What colour of light does it give?

It gives a warm white light at 3000K, with 380lm per light across its 10 LEDs, which suits living rooms, dining rooms and bedrooms.

What material is the shade?

The shade is clear brilliant glass, cut into square pieces set in two rings, and the stepped body is steel in a gold finish.

//cdn.shopify.com/s/files/1/0729/8993/3835/files/principe-led-10-light-flush-ceiling-light-gold.jpg?v=1792451848
