praying-buddha-table-lamp-with-shade-46cm-black-and-gold
Praying Buddha Table Lamp with Shade 46cm - Black & Gold

Description

This praying Buddha table lamp pairs a calm, seated figure in gold and black with a tapered black shade. The whole lamp stands 46cm tall, and the Buddha sits cross-legged on a plain black square base, hands pressed together at the chest, eyes lowered in a serene expression. Gold picks out the face, shoulders and hands, while the draped robe is black and patterned with raised gold swirls, edged in a beaded gold trim. The curled hair is black, tipped with gold, and a small gold ornament crowns the head. A slim black stem rises behind the figure to carry the lamp holder and shade.

It sits well on a bedside table, a sideboard, a console in the hall or a quiet corner of a living room, wherever lamplight and a little calm are welcome. It runs from a UK plug, so it needs only a nearby socket, and it is made for dry rooms indoors. The black and gold palette suits darker, moodier schemes as readily as plain white walls, where the figure becomes the focus. We think it makes a thoughtful housewarming gift for someone setting up a reading nook, a meditation corner or a calm bedroom.

The lamp runs on 240V mains power and takes an E27 screw bulb, the common large screw fitting, so a replacement is easy to find. Its black lamp holder sits neatly at the top of the stem, out of sight beneath the shade. For care, switch off and unplug before cleaning, then dust the figure and shade with a soft dry cloth, using a soft brush for the raised detail of the hair and robe. Keep water and sprays well away from the electrics. Set it where the figure is seen face on, at the end of a sideboard or beside a favourite chair.

Specification

Colour

Black & Gold

Weight

1.244kg

Power

UK Plug 240V

Bulb Included

No

Occasion

New Home

Frequently Asked

How tall is the Buddha table lamp?

The lamp stands 46cm tall, a comfortable height for a bedside table, a sideboard or a console in the hall.

What bulb does this lamp take?

It takes an E27 screw bulb, the common large screw fitting, so a replacement is easy to pick up whenever one is needed.

How is the lamp powered?

It plugs in on a UK plug and runs on 240V mains power, so it needs only a nearby socket and no batteries at all.

What colours is the lamp?

The shade, stem and base are black, and the seated Buddha is gold with a black robe patterned in raised gold swirls and trim.

Can I use this lamp in a bathroom?

No, this is a lamp for dry rooms indoors, such as a bedroom, living room or hallway, and not for a bathroom or any damp space.

Is it a good housewarming gift?

Yes, we think it makes a thoughtful housewarming gift, especially for someone creating a calm bedroom, a reading corner or a meditation space.
