prata-vecchia-outdoor-wall-light-black
Prata Vecchia Outdoor Wall Light - Black

Description

Prata Vecchia is an outdoor wall light built around a simple shape: a round black backplate, a slim arm that rises and curves over the top, and an opal white globe held beneath that arm under a small black cap. The body is zinc-plated steel in black and the shade is white plastic. It stands 26cm high, measures 20cm in length and reaches 28.5cm out from the wall, a compact size for a front door or a porch. It takes an E27 bulb of up to 28W, which is not included, so you choose the brightness and colour of light yourself. With an IP44 rating it is protected from splashing water, which means it can live outdoors on a house wall or a garden wall.

We see it working best beside a front door, along a side path or on a garden wall, where the globe gives a soft, even glow rather than a harsh beam. The white shade spreads the light widely, so a doorstep, a house number or a path stays easy to see after dark. The black and white pairing suits brick, render and painted walls alike, and looks as much at home on a modern build as on an older house. It is a good choice for anyone who wants a friendly light at the door without a bulky lantern.

The body is zinc-plated steel finished in black, and zinc plating is a long-standing way of protecting steel against rust. There is no switch on the light itself; it is switched at the wall. It runs on 220-240V, 50/60Hz mains and weighs 0.957KG packed. As a wired-in light it is installed by a qualified electrician, and the installation instructions come as a download. When you choose a bulb, pick an E27 cap at 28W or less, then decide whether warm white for a welcoming porch suits you better than something cooler.

Specification

Length

20cm

Height

26cm

Projection

28.5cm

Body Material

Zinc-plated steel

Body Colour

Black

Shade Material

Plastic

Shade Colour

White

Light Source

E27 (bulb not included)

Wattage

Max 28W

Switch

None (switched at the wall)

IP Rating

IP44

Protection Class

Class I

Voltage

220-240V, 50/60Hz

Weight (packed)

0.957KG

Downloads

Installation Instructions (PDF)

Frequently Asked

Can this light go outdoors?

Yes.
