please-leave-by-9pm-painted-wooden-wall-sign-plaque-blue
Please Leave By 9PM Painted Wooden Wall Sign Plaque - Blue

Description

This painted wooden wall plaque says what every host is quietly thinking: PLEASE LEAVE BY 9PM. The words are in bold black capitals with a hot pink drop shadow and a fine gold outline. The lettering sits on a soft duck-egg blue ground, set into a recessed centre panel. A raised border frames the panel, with a thin gold pinstripe running all the way round. Both ends are shaped with rounded, notched corners like a traditional painted sign, which gives it a touch of vintage charm. It is a long, slim piece, 47.5cm wide, 7.5cm high and 2cm deep, so it reads clearly from across a room without taking over a wall.

We like it along a hallway wall by the front door, above a doorway, or over the sofa in the room where friends tend to linger longest. Its narrow shape suits the awkward strips of wall that most pictures cannot fill, such as the space above a door frame or the run of wall beside the stairs. The joke lands best wherever people gather, and it sits happily within a gallery wall of prints and frames. It is a light-hearted nod for anyone who loves company but treasures an early night just as much, and it makes a cheerful little gift.

The plaque is made from wood with a smooth painted finish. A sawtooth hanger is screwed to the back, so it goes up easily on a nail or picture hook. To keep the paintwork fresh, dust it now and then with a soft dry cloth, or wipe it gently with a barely damp cloth and dry it straight away. Hang it at eye level by the door, where guests will spot it on their way in and take the hint with a smile.

Specification

Material

Wood

Colour

Blue

Height

7.5cm

Width

47.5cm

Depth

2cm

Weight

0.222kg

Frequently Asked

How big is the Please Leave By 9PM sign?

It measures 47.5cm wide, 7.5cm high and 2cm deep.
