peo-wool-christmas-tree-decoration-multi
Peo Wool Christmas Tree Decoration - Multi

Description

This is a felted wool Christmas decoration in the shape of a hot air balloon, with a little mouse riding in the basket beneath it. The balloon is made in striped panels with a band of small round discs around its base, and fine cords run down to a rounded basket where the mouse sits with its paws over the rim, its big round ears standing out either side of a stitched nose and smile. It is made of 100% wool with a polyester filling, it is multicoloured, and it measures 7cm across and 15cm tall, a good size for a branch at the front of the tree.

It is made to hang. A loop of cord rises from the top of the balloon, so it slips straight over a branch of the Christmas tree, and at 0.01KG it is light enough for the slender tips, where a heavier bauble might make the branch dip. Away from the tree, it suits a bare twig arrangement on a mantelpiece or sideboard, a door handle, the ribbon of a wreath or a window latch. A small, characterful piece like this makes a thoughtful gift for anyone who adds to their tree decorations year by year.

The finish is felted: wool fibres matted together into a dense, soft surface with a gentle fuzz, which gives the balloon and the mouse their rounded, soft-edged look. Felted wool holds its shape well, and the polyester filling gives it a plump body rather than a flat one. Felt does not chip the way glass and ceramic do, so it can be wrapped in tissue and packed away in a box at the end of the season without fuss. For styling, hang it at eye level towards the front of the tree, where the mouse's face can be seen, and leave it a little space from larger decorations so the balloon shape reads clearly.

Specification

Height

15cm

Diameter

7cm

Material

100% Wool, Filling: 100% Polyester

Colour

Multi

Finish

Felted

Filling

Polyester

Weight

0.01KG

Frequently Asked

What is this Christmas decoration made of?

It is made of 100% wool with a felted finish, and it is filled with 100% polyester, which gives it a soft, rounded body.

How big is the mouse in the hot air balloon?

The decoration measures 7cm across and 15cm tall, a compact size that sits well on a branch at the front of a Christmas tree.

How does it hang?

A loop of cord rises from the top of the balloon, so it slips straight over a tree branch, a hook, a wreath or a door handle.

Will it weigh down a thin branch?

No. It weighs 0.01KG, so it is light enough for the slender tips of a branch, where a heavier bauble can make it dip.

What is included?

You receive the single hanging decoration, a felted mouse in a hot air balloon.
