paula-wavy-stoneware-breakfast-set-of-12-grey
Paula Wavy Stoneware Breakfast Set of 12 - Grey

Description

This is a twelve-piece stoneware breakfast set in grey, made up of cups, bowls and plates that share one glaze and one pattern: a soft, wavy band of deeper grey that drifts across each piece like a line of cloud. The cups are round and full-bellied, 9cm across and 8cm tall, with a generous loop handle. The bowls are 16cm across and 6cm tall, and the plates are 20cm across and 1.5cm high, with a low rim. Together the set weighs 5.04KG, which tells you this is solid, substantial stoneware.

The sizes settle the breakfast table neatly. A cup 8cm tall suits a morning tea or coffee, the 16cm bowl is the right size for cereal, porridge or yoghurt and fruit, and a 20cm plate takes toast, pastries or a boiled egg on the side. It works as an everyday breakfast setting in a kitchen or a small dining room, and the matching pattern makes a weekend brunch or a guest breakfast look considered without any effort. Because the cups, bowls and plates belong together, it is also a straightforward housewarming or wedding gift for someone setting up a first home.

Each piece is finished in a reactive glaze. Reactive glazes move and pool as they fire, so the depth of the grey wave and the speckling at the rim vary a little from one piece to the next. Every piece goes in the dishwasher and the microwave, and each can go in the oven too, so a bowl of porridge can be warmed through without a change of dish. The styling props shown are not included. For a calm, layered look, stack a bowl on a plate at each place and set the cup beside it, or keep the set out on an open shelf, where the soft grey sits well alongside natural wood and woven baskets.

Specification

Cup

Height 8cm, Diameter 9cm

Bowl

Height 6cm, Diameter 16cm

Plate

Height 1.5cm, Diameter 20cm

Sold as

Set of 12

Material

100% Stoneware

Colour

Grey

Finish

Reactive glaze

Dishwasher safe

Yes

Microwave safe

Yes

Oven safe

Yes

Food safe

Yes

Weight

5.04KG

Frequently Asked

What does the set include?

It is a twelve-piece set made up of round stoneware cups, bowls and plates, all finished in the same grey wavy glaze.
