parogno-fabric-pendant-light-black-red-orange-white
Parogno Fabric Pendant Light - Black, Red, Orange & White

Description

The Parogno is a fabric pendant light made from three drum shades stacked in steps. The widest tier sits at the top in a deep red, an orange tier hangs beneath it, and a smaller white drum finishes the light at the bottom, so the colours read as one layered shape from across the room. It hangs on a slim black cable from a round black ceiling canopy, measures 50cm in diameter and is 110cm in overall height. The light source is an E27 lampholder and the bulb is not included, which leaves the choice of brightness and colour temperature with you. It is rated IP20, so it belongs indoors in a dry room.

We like it best over a dining table, where a pendant of this width gives the table a clear centre without crowding the room. It works just as well in a living room or a bedroom, and with an overall height of 110cm it is worth measuring your ceiling first so the bottom tier hangs where you want it. The red, orange and white palette is earthy rather than loud, so it sits comfortably beside timber floors, natural wood furniture and warm neutral walls. It suits anyone who wants colour and shape from the light itself, and because fabric softens the light from a bulb, the glow is gentle rather than harsh.

The body is steel in a black finish, and the three shades are fabric with a fine textured weave that shows up close. There is no switch on the light itself, so you turn it on and off at the wall switch. It runs on 220-240V, 50/60Hz, and as a mains light wired into the ceiling it is installed by a qualified electrician; the installation instructions come as a download. Packed, it weighs 1.95KG. As a final tip, choose a warm white E27 bulb to suit the red and orange tiers.

Specification

Overall Height

110cm

Diameter

50cm

Body Material

Steel

Body Colour

Black

Shade Material

Fabric

Shade Colour

Red, orange, white

Light Source

E27 (bulb not included)

Switch

None (switched at the wall)

IP Rating

IP20

Protection Class

Class II

Voltage

220-240V, 50/60Hz

Weight (packed)

1.95KG

Downloads

Installation Instructions (PDF)

Frequently Asked

Can I use this pendant light in a bathroom?

No. It is rated IP20, which means it is made for dry indoor rooms only, so we would keep it out of bathrooms and never fit it outdoors.

Does the Parogno come with a bulb?

No, the bulb is not included.
