The glass is a deep merlot red, and a mottled metallic haze sits across the upper half and the shoulders, breaking into speckles and fine crazing as it runs down. Each drop is capped in matt brass, dark rather than bright, and hangs from a brown velvet ribbon threaded through a ring.\u003c\/p\u003e\u003cp\u003eAt 8cm long these hang below a branch rather than sitting in among it, and the ribbing under the metallic haze picks up light along the length of each one. Four will space out around the front of a tree, or hang along a garland or a bare branch. The ribbon is long enough to knot straight over a branch without a hook.\u003c\/p\u003e\u003cp\u003eThe glass is recycled: the waste glass is crushed and melted down, then hand blown into a mould, which is what gives the pear shape and the ribbing.
