oval-luminous-plastic-alarm-clock-with-beep-function-white
Oval Luminous Plastic Alarm Clock with Beep Function - White

Description

This oval alarm clock is a small, tidy piece for the bedside, with a white plastic case and a clear analogue dial set with Arabic numerals from 1 to 12. The numerals and the hour and minute hands are luminous, so the face stays readable once the lights go down, and a ring of dots marks the minutes around the edge. It stands 6.2cm high, 9cm across and 3cm deep, a compact size that sits neatly on a narrow bedside table or a busy shelf without crowding it.

We think it is happiest in a bedroom, where a quick glance in the dark tells you the time without reaching for a phone and its bright screen. The alarm is a beep rather than a bell, a straightforward sound for early starts, and the quartz movement keeps steady time from one day to the next. It would sit just as well in a spare room, on a desk or on a kitchen shelf where a small clock is handy, and the plain white case goes with almost any colour scheme, from soft neutrals to brighter rooms.

The case is made from plastic and the clock stands on small feet, so it needs no wall or fixing. It is powered by the AA battery size, also labelled MN1500 or LR6, and batteries are not included, so keep some to hand before you set it up. There is no snooze function, which suits anyone who prefers to get up at the first alarm. To keep it looking fresh, dust it with a soft dry cloth, or wipe the case with a slightly damp cloth and dry it straight away. As a practical present or a simple swap for a phone alarm, it is an easy choice that does one job well.

Specification

Material

Plastic

Colour

Function White

Height

6.2cm

Width

9cm

Depth

3cm

Weight

0.063kg

Movement

Quartz

Display

Analogue

Dial

Arabic numerals

Alarm

Beep

Luminous Dial

Yes

Hanging

Other

Power

Batteries

Battery

AA / MN1500 / LR6 (not included)

Frequently Asked

What battery does this alarm clock take?

It takes the AA battery size, also sold as MN1500 or LR6.
