The numbers are large and clear, so the time reads at a glance across a dim bedroom. Beside the hours and minutes, the screen also shows the temperature, the date and the day of the week, which saves reaching for your phone first thing. Press the light button and the display glows a cool blue, handy for checking the time in the dark. It measures 15cm wide, 6.5cm high and 5.5cm deep, a compact size that fits a crowded bedside table without fuss.

Its natural home is the bedside, where the alarm gets you up and the blue light helps on dark winter mornings. It suits a desk or a home office just as well, placed beside a laptop for a quick check of the time and date, and its plain black finish goes with oak, painted furniture and white walls alike. In a guest room it gives visitors an alarm of their own, so nobody has to rely on a phone, and on a hallway console it keeps the household on time.

Five buttons run along the top of the casing, marked MODE, SET, LIGHT, UP and DOWN, so setting the time and the alarm takes just a few presses. The rounded oval shape has no sharp corners and sits steady on any flat surface, with nothing to hang or fix to a wall. Care is easy: dust the casing and screen with a soft dry cloth, and keep it in a dry room indoors. As a gift, it is a useful, good looking choice for anyone who would rather keep their phone out of the bedroom at night, and we think it looks smart on a nightstand beside a lamp and a stack of books.

Specification

Colour

Black

Height

6.5cm

Width

15cm

Depth

5.5cm

Weight

0.11kg

Frequently Asked

How big is this alarm clock?

It measures 15cm wide, 6.5cm high and 5.5cm deep, compact enough for a bedside table, a desk or a narrow shelf.

What does the screen show?

Alongside the large time digits, the screen shows the temperature, the date and the day of the week, so you can see all four at a glance.

Does the display light up?

Yes, press the LIGHT button on top and the screen glows blue, which makes the time easy to read in a dark bedroom.

Where are the buttons on the clock?

Five buttons sit along the top of the casing, marked MODE, SET, LIGHT, UP and DOWN, for setting the clock and alarm and switching on the light.

What colour is the alarm clock?

The clock is finished in black, with a smooth oval outline that goes easily with most bedroom and office furniture.

How should I look after it?

Dust the casing and screen with a soft dry cloth now and then, and keep the clock in a dry room indoors, away from water.
