A black dome shade with an arched strap of pale oak laid across its crown, pinned each side with a small black boss so the strap reads as a handle. The dome curves out from a narrow top to a wide open rim, and the inside is lined in warm cream, showing as a bright ring below the matt black outside. A black braided flex runs up from the middle of the strap. The black is a flat chalky matt with no shine, and the oak is left plain against it. The shade is broad and generous for its depth. It measures 24cm across.\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003eIt suits a table, an island or a hallway, hung low enough to be looked at rather than into. Hang it so the bottom of the shade sits about 80cm above the surface, a little higher if people walk beneath it rather than sit under it.
