A white dome shade with an arched strap of pale oak laid across its crown, pinned each side with a small white boss so the strap reads as a handle. The dome curves out from a narrow top to a wide open rim, and the inside is lined in warm cream, showing as a bright ring below the white outside. A white braided flex runs up from the middle of the strap. The white is matt and unbroken apart from the two pins, and the oak is left pale and plain. The rim is open with no diffuser across it. It measures 16cm across.\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003eA shade this small works better in a run of two or three over an island than alone in the middle of a ceiling, where it reads as an accent rather than the main light. Hang it so the bottom of the shade sits about 80cm above the surface, a little higher if people walk beneath it rather than sit under it.
