orchid-artificial-stem-pink
Orchid Artificial Stem - Pink

Description

This artificial orchid stem carries sprays of small pink flowers along slender, branching arms. Each bloom is marked with deeper pink veining towards its centre and softer pink at the petal edges, and tight round buds stay closed at the tip of every spray, much as they do on a living orchid. The stem stands 109cm tall and 25cm across, so it is sized for a tall vase rather than a little bud vase. It is made from polyethylene, iron and polyester and weighs just 0.06KG.

An artificial orchid never wilts and needs no watering, so it suits the places where fresh flowers struggle: a dim hallway, a guest room that stands empty for weeks, a holiday let, or a high shelf you rarely reach. Stand a single stem in a tall vase on a sideboard, windowsill or mantelpiece, where its arching sprays read clearly against a plain wall, or work it into a mixed arrangement to give height and a lighter, airy line above fuller blooms. It suits anyone who loves the look of orchids but would rather skip the upkeep of a living plant, and it brings a soft touch of pink to a bedroom, study or living room all year.

The maker's care notes ask for two things. Handle it gently, because the flowerheads can break, and before first use trim the stem and fold it into place. In practice that means cutting it to the height of your vase and bending each spray into the line you want before you arrange it, so the 109cm length is a starting point rather than a fixed size. For the most natural look, angle the longest spray slightly away from the rest and let the buds lean outward, as a real orchid stem does; the styling props shown are not included.

Specification

Height

109cm

Diameter

25cm

Material

Polyethylene, Iron, Polyester

Colour

Pink

Care

Handle with care to avoid breakage of the leaves/flowerheads.
