old-macdonald-wooden-data-plaque-with-animal-tags-green
Old MacDonald Wooden Data Plaque with Animal Tags - Green

Description

This wooden data plaque brings Old MacDonald's farm to a nursery wall, with a cheerful country scene and four little animal tags for a baby's first details. Along the top, a farmer in a flat cap drives his green tractor, towing a trailer piled high with hay towards a red barn, while a hen, a chick, a dog, a goose and a busy bee share the meadow with carrots, corn and toadstools. Beneath it hang a pink pig, a black and white cow, a duck and a woolly sheep, labelled NAME, BORN ON, LENGTH and WEIGHT. Sage green leads, with a red barn and soft pastel animals.

Its natural home is a baby's room or nursery, where it brings a gentle farmyard theme without taking over the wall. We think it makes a lovely gift for a little one up to three years old, giving the family a keepsake that holds the name, the date of birth, the length and the weight in one place. The green ribbon loop at the top hangs from a small hook or picture nail, so it can go above a changing table, beside a bookshelf or on a nursery door. It sits happily alongside other farm or nursery rhyme pieces.

The plaque is made of wood, 19.6cm on its longer side and 1.1cm thick, so it stays slim against the wall while the animal tags hang freely below the scene. Being a keepsake for display rather than a toy, it belongs on the wall, out of little hands. To care for it, dust it gently with a soft dry cloth and keep it away from water and damp, which looks after both the wood and the illustration. Hang it where the family will see it every day, and the farm and its four animals will keep those first details close long after the nursery years.

Specification

Material

Wood

Colour

Green

Size

19.6cm

Depth

1.1cm

Weight

0.062kg

Frequently Asked

What size is the Old MacDonald plaque?

The plaque measures 19.6cm on its longer side and is 1.1cm thick, a neat size for a nursery wall with the four animal tags hanging beneath the farm scene.

What is the plaque made of?

It is made of wood, illustrated with a farm scene in sage green, red and soft pastels, and it has a green ribbon loop for hanging.

How does the plaque hang?

A green ribbon loop at the top hangs from a small hook or picture nail, and the four animal tags hang beneath the main farm scene.

What do the animal tags say?

There are four tags, one on each animal: the pig reads NAME, the cow BORN ON, the duck LENGTH and the sheep WEIGHT.

Who is this plaque suitable for?

We suggest it for a little one up to three years old, as a keepsake for the nursery wall rather than a toy to play with.

How do I look after the wooden plaque?

Dust it gently with a soft dry cloth and keep it away from water and damp, which helps look after both the wood and the illustration.
