It is 47cm deep and 40cm across at the rim, and it hangs on a black flex.\u003c\/p\u003e\u003cp\u003eAn open weave does not contain the light. Straight down through the open rim it puts a bright circle on the surface below; sideways through the gaps it lets out bands of light and shadow onto the nearest wall. At 40cm across it hangs low over a counter, a small table or a corner chair without taking the whole room. It takes one E27 bulb up to 40W, it is dimmable, the flex runs 1.5m, and it is rated IP20 for dry indoor rooms.\u003c\/p\u003e\u003cp\u003eThe shade is wicker, woven by hand over upright stakes, so the rings are not evenly spaced and the strips differ in width and tone. It can also be used as a shade on its own where a ceiling fitting is already in place.
