nilgaut-vase-31cm-brass
Nilgaut Vase 31cm - Brass

Description

The Nilgaut Vase is a tall aluminium vase in a brushed brass colour, its whole surface worked into rows of overlapping carved facets. Fine brushed lines run through every facet, and each one catches the light at a slightly different angle, so the warm gold tone shifts softly as you move around it. The form tapers: narrower at the neck, broadening gently through the body and rounding in at the base. It stands 31cm tall, 12cm long and 7cm wide and weighs 1.05KG, a height that suits a handful of dried stems or a few tall artificial branches.

This vase is made for artificial and dried flowers only, so it is not one to fill with water. That makes it an easy choice for anyone who likes flowers in the house without the upkeep: dried grasses, lavender, eucalyptus or faux blooms simply stay as you arrange them, with no water to change. We like it on a sideboard, a hallway console, a mantelpiece or a bookshelf, where the metallic finish picks up lamplight in the evening. The brass tone sits comfortably beside white walls, natural wood and black frames, and brings a little warmth and shine to a quiet corner of a living room, bedroom or study.

Every vase is handmade, so each one is unique: the facets fall a little differently from one piece to the next, and yours will carry its own pattern of light and shade. The neck ends in a smooth, rounded rim, and the darker metal inside disappears from view once the stems are in place. For a balanced arrangement, choose stems that rise well clear of the rim and group an odd number of them for a relaxed, natural look. Keep it indoors and away from water, and it stays ready for a fresh arrangement of dried or artificial flowers whenever the season changes.

Specification

Colour

Brushed Brass

Material

Aluminium

Details

Handmade: every piece is unique

Length

12cm

Width

7cm

Height

31cm

Weight

1.05KG

Use

For artificial and dried flowers only

Frequently Asked

Can I put fresh flowers and water in this vase?

No. This vase is for artificial and dried flowers only, so keep water out and fill it with dried stems, grasses or faux blooms instead.

How big is the Nilgaut Vase?

It stands 31cm tall, 12cm long and 7cm wide and weighs 1.05KG, a comfortable size for a sideboard, mantelpiece or bookshelf.

What material is the vase?

It is aluminium in a brushed brass colour, worked into a carved surface of overlapping facets that catch the light from every angle.

Is every vase exactly the same?

No. Each one is handmade, so every piece is unique, and the facets and brushing vary slightly from one vase to the next.

Which rooms suit this brass vase?

It is a piece for indoors: a living room, hallway, bedroom or study, set on a console, sideboard, mantelpiece or shelf where the metallic finish picks up the light.
