nightmare-before-christmas-zero-planter-with-faux-plant-grey
Nightmare Before Christmas Zero Planter with Faux Plant - Grey

Description

This grey planter takes the shape of a small house for Zero, the ghost dog from The Nightmare Before Christmas, and it comes with a spiky faux plant already sitting in the opening at the top. A steep pitched roof with overhanging eaves frames the front, where ZERO is spelled out in raised letters above an arched panel. On that panel sits a little dog's face over a pair of crossed bones. The surface is lightly speckled and pitted, which gives the matt grey a weathered look, and the leaves are a deep green. It stands 16.5cm high, 7cm wide and 4.7cm deep.

Being so slim, it fits where a bigger pot never would: the end of a bookshelf, a corner of a desk, a windowsill or a mantelpiece. The plant is faux, so there is no watering to think about, and a shady corner or a north-facing shelf suits it as well as a bright spot by the glass. At 4.7cm deep it sits comfortably on a narrow ledge, and in low evening light the grey reads as almost black, which suits a darker, moodier scheme. It is as much at home in a study or a bedroom as in a living room.

Every detail on the front, from the lettering to the crossed bones, is raised in the same matt grey, so the design shows itself through light and shadow rather than colour, and the speckled surface carries the same weathered texture over the roof and sides. Care is simple: dust the planter and the leaves now and then with a soft dry cloth, and if the outside needs more, wipe it with a slightly damp cloth and dry it afterwards. Set it on its own at the end of a shelf where a lamp catches the raised name, or give it as a small gift, as it is an easy size to wrap.

Specification

Colour

Grey

Height

16.5cm

Width

7cm

Depth

4.7cm

Weight

0.164kg

Frequently Asked

How big is the Zero planter?

It stands 16.5cm high, 7cm wide and 4.7cm deep, so it fits easily on a narrow shelf, a windowsill or the corner of a desk.

Does the planter come with a plant?

Yes, it comes with a spiky faux plant in deep green already set in the top, so there is no watering to think about.

What colour is the planter?

It is grey with a matt, lightly speckled finish, a deep shade that looks almost black in low evening light.

What is on the front of the planter?

The name ZERO in raised letters sits above an arched panel holding a little dog's face over crossed bones, all under a pitched roof.

How do I keep the planter clean?

Dust the planter and the faux leaves with a soft dry cloth, and wipe the outside with a slightly damp cloth when needed, then dry it.
