It is a squat rounded pot with a wide mouth and a rim left uneven, dipping and rising round the opening. The upper part of the glass is frosted to a pale grey white; below it a band of smoke runs round the body in rust, copper and black, speckled and clouded where the colour has caught in the glass.\u003c\/p\u003e\u003cp\u003eIt takes a tealight, and lit, the smoked band glows warm while the frosted upper half stays soft. One holder is supplied. At 9cm across it is the small of three: a medium at 13cm and a large at 16cm are made in the same aged smoke. Grouped at those heights they carry light at three levels along a shelf or a table.\u003c\/p\u003e\u003cp\u003eThe glass is recycled and hand blown into a simple mould, which gives it its shape; the rim is left as it falls. The smoked colouring is in the glass rather than on it, and because each holder is blown singly the band sits at a different height and takes a different form on every one. The Ngolo range also holds a vase, a wine cooler, baubles and giant baubles in the same aged smoke.
